What This Means

At Kitchen To Go, we are deeply committed to serving unhoused individuals, students, and elderly clients in the communities we operate. Our mission is to provide daily meal services and catering across Los Angeles, including tiny home villages, rehab programs, unhoused shelters, schools, and elderly organizations. With the dedication of our kitchen crew, we ensure that each meal is prepared with love and care, catering to the diverse needs and tastes of our clients.
Our Passion

Who We Are

Kitchen to Go was founded by James Dongo with culinary input from Geronimo Lopez. As of January of 2024 Chef Geronimo has taken a role as our new COO. 
From an early age, James developed a strong passion for food and hospitality service. These were instilled in him by his hardworking parents who emphasized the importance of both. His mother Nana is especially talented in creating delicious dishes with limited ingredients, inspiring him to cherish the art of cooking and the power it holds in bringing people together.

Geronimo Lopez

Chef Geronimo Lopez, born in Southern California to Mexican immigrant parents, pursued his culinary passion at Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, CA, starting in 2005. Executive Chef Geronimo’s heart has always been driven to serve those in need, and prior to KTG he dedicated 7.5 years to transforming Hope The Mission’s food program, expanding it from 100 to 5,000 meals a day and growing the team from 2 volunteers to 27 employees. His leadership was key to the program’s success and community impact.

Kitchen To Go is dedicated to using our expertise to make a positive impact in the communities we serve. We are proud to offer daily meal services for homeless shelter organizations, made with love and care by our team of four experienced chefs. With over 50 years of combined experience and diverse backgrounds in culinary arts, we create a wide variety of dishes that cater to different tastes and dietary needs.

At Kitchen To Go, we firmly believe that food has the power to bring people together, no matter their background or circumstances. We are committed to making a difference, one meal at a time.
